It's been a long time, your internal struggle.
You've always put everyone else first and tried to make the best out of what you could.
We never had a lot growing up, but it makes me appreciate all the memories that much more.
You made light of situations, and it wasn't often that you had any negative views towards our simple life.
My promise to you, my darling mother, is to make sure I continue to carry your best qualities; your wit, your humour, your view on simple pleasures, and most of all, I will find the positives.
I promise to live the life you never had, that you always wanted, and to make sure the opportunities you gave me by moving us half way across the world will not be for granted.
Thank you, Mum.
You'll always be with me, but now you'll be pain free.
