Obituary of Derek Heisler

Derek Heisler April 21, 1978 – January 26, 2017 On Thursday, January 26, 2017 Derek passed away with his family by his side. The angels received him with open arms. Derek’s memory will be forever in the hearts of those who loved him: his wife Amanda; three cherished children, Grace, Scarlett and Ty; parents Don and Joan, Gerald and Brenda; sister Mindy (Troy) and children Isaac, Nolan and Danica; brother in law Chad (Chalen) and children Carlie, Alyssa and Brody; grandparents Maggie and Helen; companion Daisy as well as many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Martin and Tillie and John; aunts Laura and Lydia; cousins Clinton, Shane (Natasha). Derek’s family always came first, whether it was dance recitals, ball or hockey games, camping or just doing things around the yard. Derek was passionate about all sports and the outdoors. His strength, courage and devotion to his family will always be remembered. A Celebration of Derek’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Holy Family R.C. Parish, Odessa, SK. In Derek’s memory, donations may be made to the Grace, Scarlett and Ty Trust Fund.
