Obituary of Marj Bater

Marj Bater Nov. 16, 1935 – Feb. 19, 2017 Marj was welcomed through the gates of heaven by her husband Don, parents Fred and Marion Grosse, and infant brother Larry. She leaves to cherish the memories, sons: Kim, Kevin (Donna), Kirby (Heather) and daughter Kelly (Raym); grandchildren: Charolette (Taras), Justin, Jesse (Whitney), Matt (Kara), Hana, Alex, Tyler; great-grandchildren: Holden, Tristan, Ryder and Blake; also siblings: Ken (Sandra), Merv (Linnett), Noreen (Les), Phillip, and Don’s siblings, nieces and nephews. Marj grew up in the Kelliher area. As a young woman she met and married Don Bater. As he was a United Church minister they would live in many communities over the years, until retirement, when they settled in Rouleau. Marj was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. Her greatest life passion was for her family. Marj was never happier than at their cottage at Regina Beach surrounded by family. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Rouleau Town Hall, Rouleau, SK. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Rouleau United Church.
