Obituary of Johannes Fulbier

Johannes “Hans” Fulbier April 15, 1935 – April 19, 2017 On Wednesday, April 19, 2017 the light in our world dimmed with the passing of our loving husband, dad, Opa and Ur Opa. John (Hans) Fulbier passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years. He was predeceased by his parents Anna and Alfred; sister Lenchen and brother Alfons – all from Germany. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Cecile (Cilli) of 43 years; daughters Angelika (Doug) Walker, Linda (Brian) Obrigewitsch and Christine (Donny) Fulton. His adored grandchildren Kristin (Scott) Murdoch, Aaron (Tara) Walker, Ryan Walker (Bobbi Capnerhurst), Dustin Obrigewitsch (Lacey Bardoel), Ashley Obrigewitsch (Michael Gallop), Amanda (Justin) Oyka, Adam Fulton, Natasha Fulton, Britney Fulton, and his 8 beautiful great-grandchildren that filled his eyes and heart with the greatest joy, with one on the way. Hans is also survived by his brother Manfred (Anna) Fulbier, sister-in-law Dora, nieces Monika and Jutta from Deutschland and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and Deutschland. Our beautiful Hansi’s life revolved around his family and friends and his special grand-dogs; the most generous, kind, and funny soul. An unconditional loving heart you could always rely on. This man portrayed dignity and grace no matter the occasion, and it brings our hearts comfort knowing he knew we were with him right to the very end of this journey on earth. Hans was a long-standing member of the German Club and Jagd und Fisch Verein and so enjoyed to hunt and fish, especially with his best friend Joe Kratz. The stories continue to emerge and these memories will fill our hearts forever. His love for his German heritage and his one-of-a-kind personality made him the utmost individual that everyone loved to be and have around. His family and friends were extremely special to him and he to his family and friends. He was so well loved and will be missed very much. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and caregivers at both Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care and William Booth Grace Hospice for your amazing compassionate care in his last few weeks. A celebration of Hans’s life will be held at the German Canadian Harmony Club, 1727 St. John St., Regina, SK on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
