Obituary of Kelly Michael Malloy
~~Kelly Michael “Melter” MALLOY
Kelly, 55, of Regina, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at his home. Kelly was born August 14, 1961 in Regina, SK. He was employed at the CO-OP Refinery for the past 30 years, starting in yards and working his way up to Master Operator in Pumps until his recent retirement. Kelly enjoyed playing many sports in his youth, particularly hockey, which he excelled at playing for the Regina Silver Foxes. Kelly was a passionate, talented and successful musician who drummed for many bands within the Regina area and beyond, often being sought out for his skill. He was an amazing father to his two children, Jennifer and Christopher, and was also a very involved "papa" to his three grandchildren: Makayla, Madilyn and Matthew. Kelly often reminded them all that he loved them "to the moon and back". He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Vicky MALLOY. Kelly is survived by Kimberly LOUGHERY, daughter Jennifer FLEMING (Shaun) three grandchildren, Makalya, Madilyn and Matthew FLEMING and son Christopher MALLOY. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, brother and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special and dear friends, particularly Kelly CROWLEY. Funeral Mass to Celebrate Kelly’s life will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Holy Family Parish, 1021 McCarthy Blvd. N., Regina, SK with an interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in his honour to ALS Saskatchewan or the Arthritis Society.
