Obituary of Annemarie Wellwood

WELLWOOD (nee Langmaier), Annemarie
May 27, 1927 – June 21, 2017
Anne passed away peacefully shortly after her 90th birthday. Anne will be missed and is survived by her daughters, Carole (Bill), Faith (John) and Marylin (Don); son-in-law Garry; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, niece and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Roy; daughter Joan; grandson Logan; brother Fred; son-in-law Len and sister-in-law Laura. Anne was born near Zehner, attended Central Collegiate and worked in Regina until marrying Roy with his girls in 1955.  She was very active in the community, loved to read and play bridge. Anne also enjoyed many trips to Prince George to visit Logan and Marly, gardening, Rider games and a very dry martini. Family and friends were important to Anne and there were many good times for all in Anne’s backyard. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Ave., Regina, SK with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, especially those on Ward 2-6 for the heartfelt care Anne received the past several years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
