Obituary of Johnnie Lewis Marion
~~JOHNNIE LEWIS MARION
November 26, 1935 – November 2, 2017
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather on Thursday, November 2, 2017. John was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Irene Marion and brother Donald Marion. He will be lovingly remembered by beloved wife Selma; daughter Susan and son-in-law Don Bastock; grandchildren Josh (Leanne), Danielle, and Ryan (Bri) Bastock; great grandchildren Nathan, Wyatt, and Kinsley; son Shawn (Donna) Marion; son Brian and daughter-in-law Shannon Marion; granddaughter Ellen Marion; a very special cousin Norma Sichta-Stokes of Geneva, Illinois; and numerous extended family and friends from around North America and the globe. John was affectionately known since childhood by all of his friends and family as Cheno. He was a tireless worker for more than 50 years, mostly in the construction industry. Cheno always put his family and their needs ahead of his own. He enjoyed family get togethers, watching all kinds of sports and movies, and vacationing in Florida, Illinois, Mexico, and Australia. A Celebration of Cheno's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Ave., Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cheno’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
