ELIN PASKIW

Elin Agnes Paskiw (Arnason) passed away peacefully on January 7, 2018, in Regina, SK at the age of 87. Elin was predeceased by her husband Arthur; her parents Vilhjalm and Gudrun Arnason; her brothers Valdi, Joey, John, Herman, and Gordon; her sister Ollie; brothers-in-law Elert and Charlie; sisters-in-law Chrissie and Diddy. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Danny (Melisa) Paskiw; grandchildren Dylan and Cally; sister Anna Stephens; brother Fred (Gabriel) Arnason ; her sisters-in-law Lilja, June, and Josie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Elin was raised in Gimli, MB learning about her Icelandic heritage. She eventually left for work in Winnipeg and then set out on an adventure travelling and working throughout Europe for several years. She settled in Regina with her husband and became a mother (her favorite adventure). Elin loved spending time with her family over one of her home cooked meals or with a glass of wine in the back yard enjoying the view of her beautiful flowers. Elin’s positive attitude even in difficult times was inspiring. Her generous, loving nature and sense of humour will be remembered by all those who knew her. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elin’s memory to the Regina Humane Society or the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic.
