Obituary of Joyce Elaine Fischer

Joyce Elaine Fischer (nee Knibbs) August 13, 1940 – December 15, 2015 Joyce passed away on December 15, 2015 at the age of 75 years. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Herman; parents, Percival and Georgina Knibbs; father-in-law and mother-in-law Rudolph and Bertha Weise; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Adolph and Darlene Fischer. Joyce is survived by sons Ryan (Marjorie) Fischer, Nevin (Linda) Fischer; grandchildren Derek Fischer (Hayley Miller) and Michaela Fischer; brother David (Jean) Knibbs; sister-in-law Hanna (Les) Jones and brother-in-law Larry (Heather) Weise; and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Holland, Manitoba, her family moved to a farm near Stoughton, SK. While there, she met and married her husband Herman. They moved to Regina where they raised their family. Joyce loved her grandchildren and watching their activities such as hockey, soccer, band, choral and Italian dancing. She also enjoyed travel, needlework, genealogy, photo memories, reading and playing cards. She was employed at CIBC for many years and maintained contact with her friends and co-workers through the years. As an active member of Christ Lutheran Church and Regina Christian Women’s Club she made many friends. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK with Rev. Lynn Robertson officiating. Thanks to the nursing staff at the Regina General Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
