Obituary of Donald Grant Carrier

Donnie passed away peacefully in Regina at the age of 65 years on Saturday, July 14, 2018.  Born on August 4, 1952, Donnie was predeceased by his parents Henry (Wilfred) Carrier and Doris (nee Ironstar) Carrier; brothers Colin and Howard. Leaving to mourn are his sister, Carol; brothers Allen (Buddy), Gary and Lorne, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Donnie is originally from the Piapot First Nation, lived a good life of always putting others in front of himself, which was good for his life as a barber and hairstylist which took him to Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Regina.  Throughout his career he has touched many lives through his good humor and general kindness to people. Donnie was always the type that would help others at his expense. Later in his life Donnie became a traditional pow wow dancer where he fulfilled a dream of his for many years. A Traditional Wake will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 and Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 officiated by traditional elders at the  Piapot First Nation Band Hall, followed by interment at Piapot Cemetery.
