Obituary of Stanley Turek

Stanley Turek Stan passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, in Regina. Stan was well known for his gregarious nature that endeared him to all and he will be fondly remembered for his generosity and amicable spirit. He had a knack of making all who knew him feel special and took it upon himself to learn at least one word in a multitude of languages in order to connect with everyone he met. He was an active member of St. Marks Lutheran Church and dedicated virtually all his spare time to the smooth functioning of the congregation that he considered as his home and family. If there was a pillar of the church, Stan was St. Mark’s pillar. He was also a long time member of the Scandinavian Club of Regina as well as an avid bowler. Stan was a professional engineer long retired from the Saskatchewan Water Corporation and was proud to wear the iron ring. Stan is predeceased by his wife Elsa, and his parents Katerina and Steven. He is survived by his two children, Lance and Laura, his son-in-law, Doug, his partner Donna and numerous nieces and nephews.
