SCHMIDT, Lorraine Arlene

(nee Derby) 1944 - 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Lorraine announces her passing on Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Regina, SK at the age of 74 after a long battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her daughter, Stacey; parents, Lillian & Albert; sister, Carol; brother, Howard; and son-in-law, Gary. Lori is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Gerald (Gerry) Schmidt, daughters Patti (Eldon) Janzen, Rhonda (Brent) Sparks & Starla Matlock. Grandchildren: Haley (Connor) Wright, Gillian Johnson, Mark (Taryn) Envik, Brad & Mark Matlock and Abby Sparks as well as great granddaughters: Lucy, Alli, and Brooklyn. Lori was born and raised in Grenfell, Saskatchewan. She had many interests in life from raising a family to running a business - she did everything with style and grace. She was an avid curler, loved playing golf, traveling, cooking, and was a master entertainer. Lori was a member of the Crown Jewels Society and cherished her many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK. A special thanks to the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Unit 3A, Palliative Care at the Pasqua Hospital.
