O’CONNOR, Jacquelyn Agnes

Jackie, 91, of Regina, SK passed away on September 26, 2018. Jackie was born on November 1, 1926 in North Bay, ON. She was the youngest of five children born to Arthur and Selena Gauthier. Much of her time growing up was spent taking tap and acrobatic dance, but she still found the time to get into mischief with her sister, Irene “Muffy”. After attending secretarial school in Ottawa, she returned home and acquired a private secretarial position in a law office. She married William “Bill” Francis O’Connor on August 15, 1949. Jackie loved to travel and got the chance to do so when Bill joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. They were posted to many parts of Canada. After retiring from the Air Force, they moved to Toronto and finally settled in Regina. Jackie was predeceased by her husband; parents; brothers Howard and Maurice and sisters Theresa and Irene. She is survived by her daughter Lynda (Dan) McCarron; son Michael; granddaughter Michelle (Eric) and grandson Marc. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, along with their families. A private family service will be held. Interment will take place at a later date. As Jackie was a lifelong avid reader, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to the Regina Public Library.
