Obituary of Leona Volk

VOLK, Leona Margaret (Kuntz)

February 11, 1947 – October 3, 2018

With heavy hearts, we are sad to say that Leona passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the age of 71. The angels have taken her to Heaven to be with her son, Johnny Volk; sister, Elaine Kuntz; brother Harvey Kuntz; Mom and Dad, Lydia and Jake Kuntz; and nephew, Trevor Costron. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lisa (Steve) Joy, and Lori Volk; her grandchildren Lance (Maeghen) Volk, Steven Joy, Stephanie Joy, Glenn Longman, and Mollie Miller; great grandchildren Jayson Joy and Brianna Joy; her brothers and sisters, Shirley Costron, Lorne (Bev) Kuntz, Corinne Kuntz, Roberta Kuntz, Rita (Gordon) Matt, Calvin (Lorna) Kuntz and sister-in-law, Debby Kuntz. Leona also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.  Leona was born in Montmartre, SK and settled in Regina where she cared for many children and took great pride in her home at the Argyle Park Housing Co-op.  A Celebration of Leona’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Little Flower R.C. Parish, 420 College Ave., Regina, SK. Donations in memory of Leona may be made to the Lupus Foundation or The Arthritis Society.
