Obituary of Dennis Lloyd Dusterbeck
DUSTERBECK, Dennis
Dennis Lloyd Dusterbeck lost his courageous battle with cancer on October 18, 2018. Dennis was born on July 9, 1939 in Davin, SK to Fanny and Emil Dusterbeck. He was raised on a farm with his older sister Irene and his twin sister Doreen. He met Elsie in 1963 and they were married on October 17, 1964. They had two daughters Tammy (Keith, Liam and Kayleigh) and Leanne (Sam). Dennis started his insulation contracting business in 1971. He grew his business to have an office in both Saskatoon and Regina. He was a successful and well liked businessman. Dennis loved spending time with his family and friends, travelling extensively and enjoying summers at the family cottage at Glen Harbour. Dennis was a huge Rider fan. He has been a season ticket holder for 40 years and hosted many Grey Cup parties. He enjoyed watching the Riders, win or lose. Dennis was always generous with his time and loved hosting family and friends in his home. He loved golfing, fishing and maintaining the beauty of his yard. Dennis adored his grandchildren Liam and Kayleigh, spending lots of quality time with them. He was a dedicated father and husband. He had a great sense of humour. His witty exchanges kept us all in good spirits until the end. Dennis was predeceased by his parents Emil and Fanny Dusterbeck, his sister Irene and her husband John Schultz; and his brother Eddie who died in infancy. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2015 4th Ave. North, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Mount Olive Memorial Fund, or a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre and the Palliative Care Unit at the Regina Pasqua Hospital. Dennis will be greatly missed.
