Donald Michael Johner
1941 – 2018

Donald Johner, late of Fort Qu’Appelle, Sask. was born on August 18, 1941 at the Johner Homestead near Midale, Sask. and passed away on October 19, 2018 at the Regina General Hospital, Regina, Sask. at the age of 77 years.

Donald joins in eternal peace his parents, Michael and Alice Johner; siblings, Anna Kirby (George), Martin Johner, Rose Ross (Bill), Tillie Symcox (Fred), Kay Zohner (Hugo), Bill Johner, Frank Johner and Louise Rasmussen; father-in-law Herman Fleck and common-law partner Carolyn Weber.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Linda of Fort Qu’Appelle, Sask.; son Brent Johner (Grace) of Calgary, Alta. and grandchildren, Genevieve and Reatha; daughter Kim (Colin McDonald) of Lethbridge, Alta., grandson Shaun MacRae (Kelly) and great grandchildren, Victoria and Jocelyn MacRae, granddaughter Ashley (Logan Macleod) and great granddaughter Iyla Macleod; daughter Janice Johner (Doug Harper) of Massett, Haida Gwaii Islands, B.C.; step son Kenneth Joseph Weber (Mary) of Humboldt, Sask. and grandchildren, Dawson, Jayde and Kylie; step son John Taillon of Regina, Sask. and step daughter Lara Taillon of Calgary, Alta.; brother Robert (Jeannette) Johner of White City, Sask.; sister-in-law Anne Johner of Estevan, Sask.; mother-in-law Ann Fleck of Lampman, Sask., as well as Linda's siblings and their families and numerous nieces and nephews.

As Donald and Linda have friends and family spread throughout the province, two masses will be celebrated. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, Fort Qu’Appelle, Sask. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Estevan, Sask. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow each mass.
