BADLEY, Desmond

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, but wonderful memories that the family of Desmond Badley announces his passing on November 16, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the Regina General Hospital. Des was born on May 18, 1935 in his family farmhouse outside of Pense, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Lloyd & Josephine; brother Melvan (Berneise); sister Della (Ken) and nephew Lloyd. He will be greatly missed by his wife Shirley; sons Kelly (Leslie), Mark (Karen) and Byron (Marianne); nieces Charlotte, Joy and Melveen; grandchildren Crystal (Shannon), Jordan, Ashlynn (Matt), Alex (Travis) and Kaitlyn; great grandchildren Grady, Sage, Navy-Rose, Carver, Annsley, Cabe and Remi. Des was talented in many things from farming to mechanics, tinkering in the garage to baking cookies and homemade bread. He loved being around family and making sure everyone’s bellies were always full. Always the life of the party, Des could put a smile on anyone’s face with his charming smile and witty stories. A Celebration of Des’s life will be held in the spring of 2019 with all of his loving family and friends.
