HUBER, Anton Michael John

Anton passed away peacefully at College Park II in Regina, SK on November 25, 2018 at the age of 93. After saying the rosary with Agnes and saying “Good night sweetheart, I love you”, he closed his eyes and left this world. Anton was born December 16, 1924 at home in Lipton, SK. Anton married Agnes Lillian (Behl) on October 21, 1950 in Regina, SK. They moved to Gladmar, and also lived in Neville, Lipton and Balgonie. Balgonie was their home for 45 years before moving to Regina in 2005. Anton worked in lumber yards, Burns Meats, Antonini Flooring and then retired from the Co-Op Refineries after 26 years of service. Anton loved to work with wood and built two homes in Balgonie. Anton was the last surviving child of Frank and Amelia (Huber) Huber. Anton was predeceased by his siblings and in laws, Julia (George) Cleal, Adam (Theresa) Huber, Mary (Leo) Sr. Sitter, Marlene (William) Dinnen; sons in law Ron Gaebel and Stanley (Sr) Zielinski; grandson Stanley (Jr) Zielinski; two great great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Agnes of 68 years; children Sharon Zielinski, Gerald (Valerie) Huber, Cheryl (Dean) Holzapfel, Toni Gaebel, Frances and Bruce Huber; 25 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. A Viewing will be held from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Paragon Funeral Services, 521 Victoria Ave., Regina, SK. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 302 King St., Balgonie, SK. Interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Colony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospitals of Regina Foundation, 1874 Scarth St., Regina, SK S4P 4B3.
