Dear Brenda and Family: Gordon and I are so saddened by George's passing. Our paths have crossed in the many ways that friends spend time with each other. We cherish our memories of time spent with you and George starting with dance classes, then on to dances at Christmas and New Years at the RCMP, then on to time spent dancing and hiking in Arizona and a lovely weekend we spent with you at your cottage. Friends like you and George are a treasure. We will be away when you have your celebration of George's life, but we will be in touch with you when we return and hope we can share a cup of tea with you when you are able. We hope that we can still keep up our lovely friendship. In the meantime please accept our warm wishes and hugs from us.

My condolences to you and your family Brenda. George was a great mentor to me. I will always remember the 5 minute briefing which highlights the major points of an issue and then if the person being briefed wants more they will ask. He also encouraged me to initiate a Lands Advisory Committee which was a great success. George was a very supportive and encouraging boss. I appreciated his direction and guidance. George was also a friend. I fondly remember drinks after work to have fun and laughter after the days work. It was truly a work family.

I’ll always remember summers at the lake with my Uncle George and his family. He would welcome you with the biggest and best hugs and always seemed to have a smile on his face. And though as I grew up I saw him less frequently, I treasured every visit. I love you Uncle George and your memory will live on in the hearts of the many lives you touched. Thinking of my extended family Auntie Brenda, Orenda, Aiden, and your families.. praying for strength at this difficult time.
