Obituary of Wilhelm Pelzer
It is with sadness, love and blessings that we announce the peaceful passing of Wilhelm "Bill" Pelzer on his 91st birthday. Wilhelm was born in Kolesno, Poland to German parents. He immigrated to Canada on October 31, 1948, coming to a farm in Markinch, SK. On June 17, 1951, he married the love of his life Mary Heppenstiel. Together they embraced the opportunities of their new home in Canada, working tirelessly to build a good life here. In 1959, they purchased their farm north of Regina where they farmed until retiring in 2006. Wilhelm took pride in this farm and there were many family and friends that enjoyed gatherings there over the years. Family was the most important thing to Wilhelm. He was proud of his children and provided for them with his wisdom, love and support, which was also extended to his 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Wilhelm will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife of 68 blessed years, Mary; children Anne Juravel, Edmund (Darlene) Pelzer and Christel (Ron) Foord; grandchildren Evan (Kathy) Juravel, Maria (Dallas) Ritz, Kristin Pelzer, Nathan (Suzanne) Pelzer, Steven Pelzer, Lindsay (Josh) Shaw, Teddi (Ben) Hebert, Paige (Keenan) Foord and Isaac Foord, great-grandchildren Christian and Nathaniel Juravel, Ethan and Liesl Ritz, Nevaeh Pelzer, Milea, Theran and Enders Pelzer, Rayce and Beckett Shaw, and Sloane and Griff Hebert; sister Wally Weller of Gifhorn, Germany; as well as numerous relatives in Canada, Germany and Austria. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Staff of the Regina Lutheran Home for their loving care of "Bill" over the last 2 years, but especially in his final days. A special thank you to Dr. Stewart and Cheryl-Ann McMillan for all
