Obituary of Lois Alynn Olson

Lois passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents Allan and Audrey (nee Wharton) Dawe. Lois is survived and will be dearly remembered by her daughter Dawn; grandchildren Daniel, Lea and David; sister Dorothy; brother-in-law Dave; nephews Steven and Regan; life-long friend June; long-time companion Harold and his family; extended family members in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, England, Scotland and Ireland; as well as many friends and canasta partners. She will also be remembered by her loving cat “Ethel.”

Lois started her career at the Grey Nuns Hospital, which later became the Pasqua Hospital. She worked in the Chemistry department, gradually moving into Histology.   When the labs were split between the two hospitals, Lois moved to the Regina General Hospital where she retired in 2006. Lois led an active life, with many volunteer activities.   She will be greatly missed and remembered with love and respect.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019 in Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina with Rev. Dennis Hendriksen officiating.   Those so wishing to make donations in memory of Lois may do so to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.
