Obituary of Eva Elizabeth Stoehr
Eva passed peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 and will be lovingly missed by Herbert, her husband of 66 years; daughters Margi Letts (David) and children Kerry (Theresa) and Jessica (Harold); Maureen Wiskar and children Aaron (Lindsay), Benjamin, Zachary (Lisa), and Ashley (Keith); son Herb Stoehr (Laurie); as well as 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Julia Purdue. Eva was predeceased by her parents Frank and Sophie Grymaloski; sisters Agnes Harris, Lucy Bart, and Dr. Martha Grymaloski; brother Louis Grymaloski; grandson Gabriel Stoehr; and son-in-law Bill Wiskar.
Eva was born on the family farm just north of Raymore, SK to parents Frank and Sophie Grymaloski. She enjoyed working on the farm, and riding horses bareback. Eva and Herbert met in September of 1952 when he came from Germany, and worked on the farm in Raymore. They left for Edmonton, AB in January of 1953, and were married April 17, 1953 at All Saints Cathedral, Edmonton. In their younger married years they lived in several locations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario as they raised their three children, finally settling in Regina. Eva was a kind, gentle woman who loved God and her family dearly. She always had a ready smile for everyone. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, sewing, knitting, and travelling with Herbert all across Canada, Hawaii, and to Germany several times. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eva’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Saskatchewan. Honouring Eva’s request, there will be no service. To leave online messages of condolence, please visit www.paragonfuneralservices.com
