Iris, so sorry to hear the news of your mom’s passing. We enjoyed her many trips to Coronach and the visits we had with her. We also stayed overnight with her on a trip through Wetaskiwin and had a wonderful time with her. Treasure your great memories of her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you,

Auntie Elsie was a pen pal of my mother Martha Strohschein before I ever knew her. She married Martha’s brother Harvey, settled in on their farm and had a baby girl, Iris, who became my cousin. We were a year apart and I was fortunate to be able to spend some summer holidays with Iris on the farm. I think we must have been a handful because Auntie Elsie often worked nights and we could make a lot of noise! She was very gracious and put up with this city girl - feeding me very well with all sorts of yummy home baking and wonderful home cooking.
She loved to laugh and I will always remember her like the lovely person she was! Till we meet again with Jesus!
Love, Lois
