Obituary of Alma Dizy

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alma announces her passing on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in Regina, SK.    She was predeceased by her parents, Titus and Josephine Cicansky.   Alma will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Ted; children Gerry, Len (Mariana), Peter, Rick (Michelle), Rob (Michelle) and Michelle (Brad) Wild; grandchildren Ashley, Adrianna, Marco, Julia, Jack, Charlotte, Matthew, Caleb, Hana, Nolan and Makena.   She is also survived by her brother, Joe (Karen).

Alma was born in Romania in 1940, immigrating to Canada at the age of eight years old.   She married the love of her life, Ted in July of 1962.   Alma was loving, understanding and selfless.   She dedicated her entire life to her family, raising her six children.   Alma was blessed with eleven grandchildren and proudly embraced her role as a grandmother.   She loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables and was very talented with her sewing and baking.    Alma was kind and generous, donating to many different charities such as the Red Cross.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 315 Douglas Avenue East, Regina, SK with Rev. Anthony Dizy and Rev. Richard Jasiak as celebrants.  Flowers gratefully declined.   Donations in Alma’s memory may be made to the Marian Centre, 1835 Halifax St, Regina, SK S4P 1T4.
