For a number of years before dad’s passing, we would spend random days at random golf courses. I was so horrible at golf but every shank and every ball that went 10 yards instead of 100 he always laughed and smiled, even as we searched in overgrown pastures and tree lines.
I will never forget that smile.
I remember celebrating his birthday. It was the last time I saw him. We had a barbecue outside, cake and everything. He was so happy, and I'm happy that I saw his smile one last time.
So many things to say about my dad. He was always there when you needed him. Whether it was going golfing, even knowing my wicked slice, and spending half our day going to find my ball. Or just being there for any help you needed. I am going to miss our weekly talks the most.
