Our most sincere condolences to the entire Loucks Family. Floyd always greeted us with that big smile of his whenever we stopped in to visit Mom at the Grasslands. We were always invited in for some tasty snack and a wee shot of his very best. He always had a positive outlook on life and lived it to it's fullest.....a life well lived Floyd and you will be missed.

I having so many great memories of going to the farm in Fife Lake with our family, Sylvia and Don. As a city kid nephew (Doug)we enjoyed doing chores while we were there and I couldn't wait to do them. Laverne and Dallas taught me to drive an old tractor while mucking out stalls. I think Uncle Floyd only got mildly upset to put on a show of discipline for his sister.
It was fun to watch Mom and Uncle Floyd ride horses. They both loved it. Of course we had no horses so I had not seen my mom ride. She took off like the wind with Floyd behind her.
Another time we were butchering chickens. Dad (Uncle Don) and Floyd spent all afternoon making a rig to catch the chickens by their legs. It was now supper so they tied together the chickens they had caught. We went inside. Laverne came home and stated Terry and I had lassoed the chickens so he let them go. This time Uncle Floyd was pissed off.
The Loucks family reunion at the farm was a great event. We, the kids, finally got to meet Burton . There is a great picture of Burton Floyd Sylvia and Lester. I believe that's the last time they were together.
The last time I visited I was already working for the RCMP. Uncle Floyd was sadly disappointed in me because I did not bring my .38 for gopher practice. But luckily for me I had learned to shoot as a kid while at the farm.
I will always have a place in my heart for Uncle Floyd and Aunt Adeline and our time on the farm.
All our love Doug Moira and kids Scott Brett(Danielle) AJ (Ashley) and Kelly (Matt).
