Just hearing this sad news today of Jim's passing.
Summing up, Jim was my Dad's (Harry) best friend, for decades until Harry's passing in 1990. Along with my Mom (Shirley) and Marion, they did lots together over the years, travelling to Las Vegas and through out California countless times.
As families, we'd go to the local beach in the Qu'Appelle Valley, and did trips into North Dakota and Montana many times, so lots of cherished memories as kids.
I was last to see both Jim and Marion in 2008 in Regina, on one of my trips back to Canada. I'll miss him, but I can now imagine him and Harry catching up over a cold Pilsner, along with Marion and my Mom.
Our sincerest condolences to Dana, Jeff, and Howard and their families during this difficult time.
Someone once said, "we are all just passing time and occupy our chair very briefly. The time we had with Jim was a gift, and we are all the better that he occupied his chair so well."
RIP Jim.
