I want to express my shock and sadness at learning way too late about the loss of Joe and Jeff 6 months earlier. I didn't find out until June 12, 2023 that both were gone when my daughter hosted my birthday party and said, "You knew that ..." but I knew nothing since I'd been hospitalized two days before Jeff's death and have been fighting for my life ever since.
Joe and Jeff meant so much to me, and I sorrow with you as I know you miss them deeply. Please accept my condolences and forgive me for this belated message. Virginia Abendschan

A Tribute to Joe Kazeil
Our deepest condolences to Kazeil's, Sadden's, family and friends.
Joe was one of the kindest, most loving and generous persons I have ever met. I am proud to say he was my brother-in-law.
We have so many wonderful memories of spending Christmas, Easter and summer vacations with the Kazeil family while our kids were growing up. The cousins always had so much fun together, as did the adults. Joe had a great sense of humour, and I remember all of us being together in Calgary spending Christmas and New Years together one year.
We had a fondue New Years Eve, when Joe decided we should phone the Pope at the Vatican to wish him Happy New Year. Needless to say, Joe did not get through to him, but that was the sense of humour Joe had.
Winter vacations to meet Kazeil's in Phoenix was always memorable. Joe bought an old Cadillac which he called his Pimp Mobile. Saturday mornings he would drive around and pick up his buddies for coffee while the ladies went to the Flee Market. I remember all of us getting into Joe's brother's motor home to go out for dinner.
We are honoured and privileged to have walked this journey of life with you Joe. We cherish all the memories we had with you and the Kazeil family.
Rest In Peace Joe, you are loved and will be missed by many.
Jackie, Lorie, James of Calgary and David from Australia.

51 years ago our family moved to Regina from Langenburg, Sask. With 4 kids all close in age to the Kazeil family in age, our parents were also close in age and we were introduced through mutual friends and became fast friends and remain still to this day. Joe and Pat were like second parents to me and were always generous and kind. He will be truly missed.

Kazeil Family,
We are saddened to hear of Joe’s passing. Deepest condolences to his family. Joe was an important part of the Cosmopolitan Learning Centre for over 30 years of service on the Board. He was incredibly supportive of the Centre and its people. He was a fantastic mentor and teacher, who taught us what leadership and strength were all about. As the Director, I am truly thankful for the support he has provided me with over the past years. He treated the Cosmo Centre as if it were his own business and always showed great pride in his support of the Centre. He provided exceptional business advice and was always available and supportive when we needed his expertise, opinions, and problem-solving ability. He showed great compassion for the men and women attending Cosmo, referring fondly to them as needing to the best job for “those kids.”
Joe’s support always encompassed his support for the Individuals, and he truly wanted the best for them as was reflected in his service on the Board. He asked tough questions, challenged the status quo, and pushed for the Organization to be the best it could be. We could call him any time and he was there for us, which we will always be thankful to Joe. We enjoyed his great sense of humour, he was very funny, and, in that humour, came wisdom, advice and support. That is what we will remember about Joe.
From,
Cosmopolitan Learning Centre

I met Joe Kazeil when my son was a participant at the Cosmopolitan Learning Centre. Joe's ongoing support of the Centre and the affection he held for the special people it serves was a true measure of his character.

Joe Kazeil was a one of a kind. A gracious gentleman, shrewd businessman, a rascally crony and an opinionated pundit. Every time we met up I felt a kinship and there was certainly humorous banter. Rest easy my friend you will surely be missed.

Nancy, Randy and Family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on Joe's passing. I had the honour of meeting and talking to Joe when he was with Zipper courier (and I was at Crown Life). While we never became friends, I immediately respected him for his sharp business acumen. Nancy, please accept my hugs on your loss. May the many fond memories you cherish bring you comfort in your time of sorrow.

To say that Joe kazeil was unique would be a monumental understatement. His sense of humour was infectious as was his love of life. His was one fully lived and characterized by generosity [to a fault], enduring friendships and sincerity. His was a life well worth the living of it.

My condolences to Nancy and family.
Although I have been retired now for a few years I have very good memories of seeing and assisting Joe at the pharmacy for over 25 years.
Later running into Joe at The Wascana or from time to time at Suds are memories I will cherish.
Joe was a person I had a lot of respect for and will miss.

Joe was one of my favorite people in the whole world, along with his entire family. He and they were nothing but kind and supportive to me over too many years to remember. I learned so many things from Joe as a mentor, many of which things made me the person I am today and the mutual respect and adoration of each other made that possible. I was fortunate to have a half hour sit-down with him most recently in January this year in his office and I treasure that visit, along with all the others over the years, more than anything. What he stood for, and who he was will never be forgotten by me.
