My encounter with Uncle henry was short but impactful. We never spoke every day or interacted often. But this one moment I experienced his calmness in the voice, his patience, his listening abilities, his manner of encouragement, his wisdom, all this attested to one thing, that he truly led a life of Christ. I was inspired and wanted to forge a life similar to his. The news of his passing was so devasting to me.
Heartfelt condolences. May Uncle Henry rest in eternal peace as he goes to join our lord and Saviour Jesus.

Henry and Mary mentored myself and my husband when our daughter passed away at 17 years old. They prayed, fed, included us in groups to help in our journey. We will forever treasure these two in our hearts and their powerful faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. So long Henry till we see you again, you are dearly missed.

The Mutafya family was one of the three African families that I remember, when I joined Harvest City Church almost two decades ago.
Mr. Mutafya, together with his late wife, Mary Mutafya, always made new comers feel at home.
He always had a smile on his face.
May you truly have a well deserved rest, in the bossom of the Almighty God

We were somehow close and as streetmates in Chingola we used to meet frequently. On few occasions we exchanged messages between Canada and UK. Go well my brother.

May the angels lead Henry into paradise; a man of unfaltered faith, intelligence, courage, spirit, and fervor. His inspiring commitment to prayer and fortifying his spiritual life mirrored in his role as a spiritual father figure to Obed. May his devout expressions convey hope during this somber time. The Lord's loving-kindness never ceases and may He provide comfort in your grief.

Remembering bakalamba ba Henry Changwe Mutafya as a faithful Christian from the 1980s to the time of his passing to join the heaven. Painful that he lost his wife our mother some 2 years ago and though i was shocked, he managed to communicate to me. We had known each other from University of Zambia days in 1980s through to ZCCM Days till he switched to other advanced careers and later migration to Canada. I revered and regarded him in highest esteem. Most especially with commssion of his lord Jesus Christ which he never let go till the grave. Go well ba kalamba though untimely. MYSRIEP. In the gentle sway of Henry's kindness, his generosity shone like a beacon; he was a friend who wove threads of selfless love into every conversation. He radiated godly wisdom and faithfully led us to greater understanding in our life group meetings. Today, we mourn his departure but rejoice knowing with utmost certainty that he is nestled in the divine arms of Christ, filled with heavenly peace. May his soul rest eternally. Amen.

Brother Henry, we met on 8th December 2023. It was good and all smiles. We as a family looked forward to spending more time with you. But our Lord had better plans. Our condolences go to Elizabeth and the children. May the Lord comfort them and give peace.

It is hard to believe that you are gone, elder Mutafya .MYSRIP.
The Bibles says “The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.”

A tribute for Henry
I am saddened by the demise of my brother and friend Henry.
I met Henry during a House fellowship soon after relocating and settling in Regina SK.
We became good friends and he played a big role in helping me with job search and settling down.
We had many coffees and discussed many issues and challenges we individually faced in a land far away from home encouraging each other.
His love for God, fellow believers and eloquence in sharing God’s word was admirable.
I considered him an elder of our local church Harvest City Church
Henry had a very contagious smile and laughter.
His love and respect for his wife Mary and children was evident and a great example to all fathers.
He loved golfing but since I don’t golf I missed out on that one with him.
We organised and participated in Joshua Mutafya’s memorial events together which strengthened our bond as brothers.
I and my family will miss him dearly.
To his daughters and new wife, take heart and lean on the comforting power of the Holy Spirit.
No words can explain what you are going through at the moment, however keep the faith and remain prayerful even as we intercede on your behalf.
RIP my/our friend Henry till we meet again in that glorious place.

Our hearts are heavy as we bid farewell to Ba Elder Henry Mutafya. His warm smile and innate kindness made the world a brighter place, while his vibrant intellect and unyielding faith served as an inspiration to us all. As a symbol of steadfast courage, he walked among us like a General in the Vineyard of The Lord Jesus Christ. May he now rest serenely in God's loving embrace until we are reunited on the other side of eternity.
