Obituary of James Zigmond Nemeth
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Nemeth on Monday, June 3, 2024 surrounded by family. James was predeceased by his parents Zigmond and Ethel Nemeth; as well as his father in-law Robert Burton. He is survived by his loving wife Kelly Nemeth; three sons Cory (Tanya), Robby (Ashley) and Michael; and his nine grandchildren Danica, Lochlin, Kinnley, Rory, Carter, Conner, Blair, Emerson and Harper. James also leaves behind his sister Lori (Wayne) and her children Shari, Danny and Kevin and their families; as well as many other family members and friends.
James and Kelly met in 1975 in Medicine Hat, AB and were soon after married in 1976. Shortly after marrying they moved to the family farm near Lestock, SK where they raised their boys and farmed on the family farm. James was a hard-working husband and father who held many hats as an electrician, maintenance man, mechanic and carpenter. His biggest pride were his boys and his grandchildren. He could always be found fixing and starting quads, go karts and snow mobiles for the grandkids or in the shop building bird houses for the local hospital or desks and other furniture upon request.
James will be forever loved and missed by his family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Wascana Rehabilitiation Centre Hospice Ward for their care during his stay in his last days as well as all that stopped for visits and provided support during his illness.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 905 Howard Street, Indian Head, SK. Interment will take place immediately after Mass in the Indian Head Cemetery. Following the interment, the family invites you to join them for a reception at the Indian Head Memorial Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wascana Rehabilitation Centre Hospice Ward.
