Obituary of Dana Lee Duchin

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dana Lee Duchin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Dana grew up on a farm outside of Glenavon as the youngest of three children. She later moved to Regina where she met Bernard Duchin, her husband of 40 years. They went on to start a family and moved to an acreage outside of Regina to raise their own three children.

Dana’s life was fulfilled by her family, friends and spending her time on the acreage with the animals. She had a way of making everyone she encountered feel special, whether she had known them for years or they had just met. Words cannot begin to describe Dana’s compassionate and caring personality – always quick to lend a helping hand, and uplifting and supporting of those around her, which allowed her to touch so many lives in both small and monumental ways.

We will continue to lead by her example; always putting others first, loving unconditionally, and appreciating the beauty of the world. We are all truly blessed to have had her in our lives and will continue to carry her memory in our hearts forever. May we all find comfort in knowing she is resting peacefully with those she loved who left this world before her.

Dana took great pride in her family and is survived by her husband Bernard Duchin; children Joshua (Kaitlin) Duchin, Kyla (Joel) Duchin and Jared (Taylor) Duchin; grandchildren Presley, Cooper, Denver, and Dawson; brother Robert (Bronwen) Vipond; sister Sandra (Will) Martens; mother-in-law Kinga Duchin; and several nieces and nephews that she was very close to. Dana was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Reta Vipond; and father-in-law Rudolph Duchin.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you do something special for, or with, someone special in your life, while you can.  A Celebration of Dana’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Details will follow at a later date.
