Obituary of Anne Syhlonyk

Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with sadness the family of Anne Syhlonyk, announce her passing on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in the Indian Head Hospital at the age of 80 years.

Anne was the beloved wife of the late John Moroschan and the late John Syhlonyk. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Deanna “DeeDee” Beston; parents John and Annie Stopanski, brother Phil; and infant sister Elizabeth.

Left to cherish her memory are her son-in-law Randy; grandson Jared (Jocelyn),  granddaughter Jenna; and great-grandson Jaxyn, all of Indian Head.  Anne will be lovingly remembered by her four sisters Mary, Renee, Rose, and Madeline; and five brothers Peter, John, Joe, Fred, Bill, and Andy, along with their spouses, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anne was a true country music enthusiast. Her radio was on at all times, tuned to a country music station; or she was listening to one of her CD’s, of which she had hundreds.  She was an expert on all things related to country music.  Anne knew all the artists and their songs, as well as their history and many details about the artist’s lives.   During their younger years, Anne and second husband John enjoyed travelling to places such as Graceland, Nashville and Hollywood.  She returned from these trips with many souvenirs and country music memorabilia, which she proudly displayed in her home. Anne will also be remembered for her great love of gardening, her beautifully flowered backyard, her jolly laughter and her family.

Although she faced many challenges throughout her life, Anne faced her stroke and failing health with courage, grace and toughness.

A private family service will be held.  Thank you to the staff of the Golden Prairie Nursing Home in Indian Head, New Hope Pioneer Lodge in Stoughton, the home care nurses, and the doctors and nurses at the Indian Head Union Hospital for their compassionate care.
