“Weye Weye Weini”
In the early morning light, that stirs,
A bad surprise occurs,
A shock, hard to believe,
In the silence, secrets weave.
We heard the news, Weini Ghide Passed,
A bad surprise, our hearts aghast,
A great loss to us all, it is true;
Her legacy is forever in our hearts too.
We call her ‘Weini” sweet as her name,
Growing sweeter with each passing day,
We crave her presence in the city’s frame,
A cherished memory, forever to stay.
Mom to Sam, Adiam and Semhar so dear,
Wife to Mr. Gaim, a love so clear,
Sister to all, both new and old,
She cares for all, her heart pure gold.
From Hadsh Adi Anseba she starts,
Everywhere she goes, she has our hearts,
Africa, America, Europe and Asia apart,
All welcome her with open hand and heart
She carries the burden of responsibility,
Never gets tired of diligent agility,
Her harvest abundant, it folds and overflows,
A testament to the hard work she shows,
She is a bright beam and a bleaching soul.
She feeds us a handful of food,
Gives wine, and water, yet thinks it least;
The aroma she splashes, a beautiful scent ,
The reason she attracts us from everywhere.
She comforts those who mourn,
Nourishes and visits the sick,
For the needy, she is always beside,
She is a human in need and indeed.
Weini the ‘resilient’;
Shows to the old and young every day and night.
But now the time has reached,
She starts her journey, where we all must go.
As if she fought not like forth and benth,
Guiding us with all her might,
Now at the instant peace,
Gone without saying goodbye.
Now it is done, it's gone,
What can we say for this great loss of her?
We just can pray her soul rests in peace!
May God comfort the hearts of her loved ones.
