I spent nice sit down visits in Mesa and Gold Canyon, Arizona with Dee. Incredibly gifted friend from GC Firehouse meeting where I met him. Practiced the program and helped me accept unavoidable distancing of sibling and be ok with it.
I knew he’d not be with us long after contracting ALS which he accepted with Grace I thought and finding his way out also with grace.
Someone that I still call a friend. RIP brother Dee

My condolences to Dee’s family, I met Dee in 2012 at an AA meeting, one of my first ones and he just made me so comfortable.we spent a day together,I was helping him with a funeral and he just talked about how everything works out for the best and if I ever needed to talk he was only a phone call away. Well Dee everything is okay and I just wanted to thank you buddy. Your family I’m sure is very proud of you as are all your friends.

I am saddened to learn of Dee's passing. Dee's parents and family rented the cottage across from my parents' at Kenosee Lake for a couple of weeks for a number of summers, and so there were visits back and forth . In later years, any time Dee was at Kenosee, he always stopped to visit with my parents, and sometimes I was there. He was personable, and had a good sense of humour! When I learned of Dee's diagnosis, we commnicated a couple of times by way of email. I've read the other condolence messages, and I am glad to hear that Dee lived life grand!!

We are sad to hear about Dee’s passing and even sadder to know we had lost touch, especially not knowing about his illness.
Whenever our paths did cross, we always enjoyed a catch up visit. He was much too young to be taken and we truly hope he got many of his bucket list accomplished. Rest in peace Dee - until we meet again....

Dee. You did a fine job as our funeral director for Speers at the time of my mother's passing in 2006. You were also a fine example to all in our Fellowship, always.

Dee Renwick was a man who loved the finest things in life. He loved cars, lived fancy and ate well. One might think that Dee was wimp in his own words. But this cannot be further from the truth. When ALS became part of Dee life, he was shaken as any man would by this horrible disease. However in time he embraced and conquered the most debilitating part of this disease. That is to say his spirit did not descend into hopelessness but soared and inspired like a sunray emanating in the darkness. Dee did not let ALS define him as a victim, rather he became a fighter of it. He did not sulk when he realized the inevitable, he lived a lifetime of life in 2 years, not letting his failing body limit his capacity to live life.
My greatest pride from meeting Dee and what I am most proud of his actions, is his philanthropic side which I opened up. Dee was a naturally very generous person, however I believed what he had accumulated over the years could be best used to help society and victims of ALS. When his heart opened up to the idea, I saw a warm, radiant person emerge. It is this side of him that will live on with us forever in our memories and hearts.
In the end, Dee might of had a wimpy body, but his love for others was strong as a mountain. We will never forget you Dee.
Love
Tiffany.

Dee, wow...as Sinatra once sang..."I did it my way!"
You were a Cad, a good looking one at that...but you knew you were.
It was my pleasure to work with you at Speers and later Paragon. You were always professional, compassionate and willing to do whatever was necessary to ease a family's sorrow.
I was blessed to have known you.
Bon Voyage...
